- Joel (Jim Carrey) se queda asombrado y aturdido cuando se entera de que su novia Clementine (Kate Winslet) ha borrado de su cerebro los recuerdos de su tumultuosa relacion. Desesperado, Joel contacta con el inventor del proceso, el Dr. Howard Mierzwiak (Tom Wilkinson) para eliminar cualquier recuerdo de Clementine de su propia memoria.
